The site lies within the London Borough of Islington and is held under a freehold ownership. It is assumed the building was originally constructed in around the early 1900s. The site is located in the Highbury Fields Conservation Area which was designated in 1968 and aimed to conserve the area’s historic integrity, preserving its rich tapestry of architectural importance. Proposed development is sensitive in its approach as it accounts for the host building and surrounding context.
